What we compare

We publish side-by-side specifications for two-person home infrared cabins: capacity, exterior and interior dimensions, heater type and power, electrical requirements, published temperature claims, warranty terms and return terms. We deliberately do not publish a star rating or a "winner" badge.

Where the facts come from

• Maker pages and manuals. Official product pages, owner's manuals, spec sheets and warranty pages.
• Retailer listings. Used as a second source and for return terms.
• Amazon listings. Used for seller-page parameters, and always labelled as seller-page rather than maker data.
• Owner discussion. Where real owner threads exist, we summarise the theme. We never quote reviews or turn them into a score.

Each value keeps its source type and check date. When two sources disagree, we show both and mark the row as needing confirmation.

How strong the evidence is for each model

Not every model has the same paperwork behind it. Of the 15 cabins we documented, 7 are labelled “Maker page + manual”: the maker’s product page and its manual back the key figures. The labels “Maker page specs” (1) and “Same-model manual (unbranded)” (1) mean a single supporting document rather than a maker page and manual together. The other 6 are labelled “Seller page only”: we found no maker spec page or manual for that exact model, so its specifications come mainly from the seller’s listing.

For a seller-page-only model, most specifications cannot be cross-checked against a maker document for the same model. That does not make them wrong, but treat them as the seller’s claims and confirm them with the seller before buying. The label appears on each model’s main card and model page, and each model page lists the source and check date of every value. Our temperature and warm-up page shows the same idea for one set of figures.

Check dates

The model facts on this site come from one dated round of checks, completed on 2026-10-09. Each value also keeps its own check date in the source table on its model page. Prices and stock are dated observations; they are never live values.

"Not published" vs "Needs confirmation"

• Not published means the source we checked does not state the value. We leave it blank rather than estimate.
• Needs confirmation means the sources disagree, the maker never gave the number, or a seller page contradicts itself. Confirm it with the seller before buying.

Why this is not hands-on tested

We have not bought, installed or measured these cabins. Every page that evaluates a model says “Spec comparison — not hands-on tested”. If we ever publish a measurement, it will say so and describe the method.

Health claims

Health-adjacent claims (EMF, red light, chromotherapy, detox) are manufacturer or seller claims. We record them as claims and draw no health conclusion. We do not publish detox, EMF-safety or red-light therapy conclusions.

Keeping this current

Every page is built from the same stored set of checked values, so one model cannot show different numbers on different pages. When we re-check models, we update that set and the check date above changes with it.
